Our House.

Casa Nova Girona is a character masia, a typical Catalan country house, that has been renovated. It is light and spacious, well decorated and well appointed, with modern comfort. More than just a rental house, we spend holidays and celebrations with our family and friends in the house. It is a home from home.

There is a good flow and openness to the house, with tiled and wooden floors, Catalan vaulted and beamed ceilings, and shuttered windows.  As you enter the house through the double front doors into the ground floor hall, the sitting room is to your left. It runs the entire width of the house and is furnished with comfy sofas, ideal for children sheltering from the sun and lazy winter evenings enjoying the ambient wood burning stove. The north end of the sitting room has open access to the dining room with it's long extendable tables and the side door opens onto the outside roofed terrace, also with long extendable tables and bbq.

The kitchen is to the right of the front door and is very well equipped; everything from various coffee pots and cafetieres, paella pans, casserole dishes, toaster, microwave, hand blender and electric kettel and toaster to crockery, cutlery and glassware -  ideal for savouring and enjoying the delights of the Catalan markets. The kitchen has a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and a large electric cooker with five gas burners. There is also a kitchen dining table that can seat 8.

Child friendly - the house has 2 high chairs, one booster seat, plastic plates, beakers, cutlery, steriliser, stair gates, bed guard, cots, toys and games, etc.

For your information - Chris and Gill, the owners, live on the estate and manage the property and surroundings. We have no direct view of the masia, front garden, pool, barbecue area and can guarantee your privacy in the house. Nor are we disturbed by any noise. But we are on hand if you wish to ask for information or help, or just wish to seek us out for a chat. We will welcome you on arrival. We wish you a very happy stay in our house.
